A couple weeks ago we packed up and headed back to Mavericks House in Half Moon Bay for our annual Summer Party—and wow, did we luck out. Blue skies, ocean views, and a whole crew of Open Homies in one place. We’ve had several Summer Parties at Mavericks House and they always deliver!
This year was bigger than ever, with Visual Artists, Product & Engineering, Marketing, and CX teammates flying in from all over the U.S. It’s rare to have the whole gang together, which made the day feel extra special.
We also kicked things up a notch with our very first raffle! The prize lineup was pretty wild: Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, an annual California State Park pass, an Amazon gift card, an Insta360 camera, AirPods, an Ooni pizza oven… and more. Even better? A few of our newest teammates scored some of the big wins—talk about a warm welcome to Open Homes.
When we weren’t eyeing the prize jars and strategizing, there was plenty else to do: cornhole on the lawn, kids cruising on paddleboards, soaking in the ocean views (drinks in hand, of course).
We also set up a station for professional headshots (thank you, Adam!) and loaded the swag table with Open Homes hats, multi-tools, and other goodies. Add in non-stop appetizers, charcuterie, slices of pizza, clam chowder, and we were set.
The day was relaxed, sunny, and full of laughs—exactly what summer should feel like. Big thanks to everyone who made it out, and here’s to keeping this tradition going year after year!
