Open Homes is seeking a highly skilled and creatively driven Real Estate Photography Post Production Manager to lead our photo editing pipeline, own our visual aesthetic, and help build the future of technology-assisted image production.

This is a leadership role suited for someone who is equal parts high-end real estate photo editing expert, creative director, team leader, and workflow architect. You’ll oversee the full post-production experience—both human and AI-assited—while working closely with product and engineering teams to scale our post-production capabilities inside our internal platform, Atrium.

Role Summary

The Real Estate Photography Post Production Manager will:

  • Lead Open Homes’ real estate photo editing pipeline

  • Manage and train a distributed team of photo editors

  • Maintain and evolve our signature luxury aesthetic

  • Collaborate directly with product & engineering on software automation, QC/QA workflows, and AI-assisted editing

  • Ensure every delivered image represents the very best in the industry


Key Responsibilities

Post Production Leadership

  • Oversee the complete photo editing pipeline for thousands of annual real estate shoots

  • Build, manage, and mentor a team of global photo editors

  • Develop SOPs, quality standards, and training materials

  • Ensure delivery consistency, accuracy, and fast turnaround times

  • Lead final QC for premium shoots, complex retouching, and high-value listings

Aesthetic Ownership

  • Maintain and evolve Open Homes’ luxury photography aesthetic

  • Collaborate with photographers and internal creative leaders to refine and define the “Open Homes look”

  • Create new editing styles, presets, or aesthetic packages for clients

AI/Hybrid Workflow Development

  • Help design the transition to hybrid editing: ML/LLM input correction

  • Provide creative and operational input to help engineers build automated tools

  • Test new AI-based editing models and provide structured feedback

  • Help refine QC/QA checkpoints and ensure accurate technical workflows

Product & Engineering Collaboration

  • Partner with PMs and developers to evolve our internal platform (Atrium) with real world editor narratives

  • Improve photo ingest, editing, delivery, and QC workflows

  • Advocate for the needs of photographers, editors, and clients within the product roadmap

  • Help shape next-gen photo editing automation features

Client & Photographer Support

  • Act as a subject matter expert for high-end photography and retouching

  • Provide guidance to photographers on shoot quality, lighting, and composition

  • Communicate directly with clients when needed for complex or VIP requests

  • Help resolve escalations related to image quality or creative direction

  • Assist the Customer Experience team with addressing feedback and implementing improvements


Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • 5+ years professional real estate photography editing or retouching

  • Mastery of:

    • Adobe Photoshop

    • Adobe Lightroom

    • Affinity Photo

    • High-volume RAW file workflows, HDR/Flambient, color correction, sky replacement, window pulls

  • Strong understanding of image quality, composition, dynamic range, and exposure balancing

  • Experience running or managing a photo editing team or studio

Leadership & Operations

  • Proven ability to hire, train, and manage editors

  • Experience creating workflows, SOPs, QC steps, and editorial guidelines

  • Comfortable reviewing and giving constructive feedback

  • Strong communication skills and remote management experience

AI & Technical Collaboration

  • Understanding of LLM- or AI-assisted editing tools (bonus if hands-on)

  • Ability to collaborate with engineering + product teams

  • Comfortable testing and giving feedback on developing software features


Bonus Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Experience at a real estate marketing or luxury creative agency

  • Familiarity with GPT-based image manipulation workflows

  • Experience working with overseas editors

  • Knowledge of real estate brands, MLS rules, and agent expectations

  • Product development or QA experience

  • Photography background (bonus, not required)
