At Open Homes, we care deeply about the Bay Area. Its open spaces, trails, and natural landscapes make it such a special place to live.
We’re proud to announce our sponsorship of Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Stewardship, a nonprofit that builds and maintains high-quality trails throughout Santa Cruz, San Mateo, and Santa Clara Counties.
Founded in 1997 as Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz, the organization has grown into one of the region’s most respected trail stewardship groups. You may already know their work: Flow Trail, Sawpit Trail, Emma McCrary Trail, and the Ramsay Park and Harvey West Pump Tracks are just a few of their projects. They operate across Soquel Demonstration State Forest, Wilder Ranch State Park, and Pogonip.
Trail building is their foundation — but it doesn’t stop there. They organize volunteer events, teach free community classes on sustainable trail principles, and bring thousands of people outdoors each year.
We’re honored to support an organization doing such meaningful work in our own backyard.
Check out our post about another special nonprofit, Home for a Home, that we also support.
