Job Title: Senior Video Editor – Real Estate Media

Role Overview
The Senior Video Editor is a high-level individual contributor responsible for producing polished, brand-aligned, emotionally compelling videos for real estate and/or brands.
This role focuses on advanced editing, finishing, and creative execution within a fast-paced production environment. You will collaborate closely with videographers and internal teams to deliver exceptional marketing assets while maintaining efficiency and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Editing & Finishing
- Edit high-end real estate property videos, priority projects, and client brand videos using DaVinci Resolve and/or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Create internal content, special projects, and high-engagement social media content for Open Homes platforms.
- Perform advanced color grading for both interior and exterior footage.
- Execute professional-level audio mixing (music, voice, ambient sound).
- Select and incorporate music that enhances tone and emotional impact.
- Use After Effects (or Fusion) to add motion graphics, titles, and visual enhancements.
- Deliver videos in multiple styles and formats (cinematic luxury, social-friendly, agent branding, vertical reels, etc.).
- Ensure all exports meet quality standards and platform specifications.
Workflow & Production Support
- Organize and manage raw footage for efficient post-production workflows.
- Maintain clean project files and archive completed projects properly.
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Communicate clearly regarding timelines, revisions, and project needs.
- Collaborate closely with videographers to ensure creative alignment.
Brand & Marketing Alignment
- Ensure video content aligns with client branding and marketing goals.
- Maintain consistency across projects in pacing, tone, and visual presentation.
- Stay current on trends in real estate marketing and social video formats.
Required Qualifications
To thrive in this role, a senior editor needs a blend of technical and soft skills:
- 5+ years professional video editing experience (real estate strongly preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere.
- Strong working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve (color grading expertise required).
- Proficiency in After Effects (motion graphics, titles, animation).
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and emotional tone.
- Exceptional music selection and synchronization skills.
- Advanced color grading skills for mixed lighting environments.
- Strong audio mixing capabilities.
- Excellent file organization and media management practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in professional video editing software, preferably DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Advanced skills in color correction and grading for architectural interiors/exteriors; professional sound design including audio cleanup, leveling, and music bed mixing.
- Expertise in proxy workflows, multi-cam editing, and high-volume media management across Shared Storage (NAS/SAN) and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Frame.io or similar systems for collaborative review and digital project management platforms like Jira or Monday for project tracking and documentation.
- Ability to create or adapt branded graphics, lower thirds, and animated captions to enhance property tours.
- Comprehensive knowledge of codecs, bitrates, and aspect ratios for diverse delivery platforms (high-res cinematic, web, and vertical social).
- Ability to articulate technical feedback clearly to videographers and translate client needs into polished visual narratives.
Preferred Experience - Experience in real estate marketing or media production companies.
- Familiarity with short-form and vertical video editing strategies.
- Portfolio demonstrating high-end property videos and brand storytelling.
