TL;DR:
When you select “Go Anytime” on the Order Form, it means you’re fine with the Open Homes Visual Artist arriving at any point between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on the date you choose. There is no scheduled arrival time. This option works best when you don’t need to be at the property and the Visual Artist can access it independently using a lockbox, hidden key, or other access instructions.
If someone needs to be onsite to provide access—or you need to communicate any special instructions that you feel are best delivered in-person—a scheduled appointment is the better choice.
Key takeaways
- “Go Anytime” does not come with a specific appointment time. Your Visual Artist may arrive anytime between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- You do not need to be at the property. In fact, “Go Anytime” works best when our Visual Artist can access the home independently.
- Provide access instructions with your order. A lockbox, hidden key, or other independent access method allows our Visual Artist to come and go without coordinating with you.
- The “Go Anytime” option gives our team flexibility. The Visual Artist can fit the property into their route around other scheduled appointments. This is especially helpful during the busy season when our team members are booked up for all time slots.
- Need to be onsite with the Visual Artist? Choose a scheduled time instead. If someone must meet us at the property, “Go Anytime” probably isn’t the right option.
What does “Go Anytime” actually mean?
When you are filling out your Open Homes Order Form, you’ll be asked to choose a preferred date and time for your appointment, as well as a second date and time in case we cannot accommodate your first choice.
Selecting “Go Anytime” on the Order Form means the Visual Artist can arrive anytime between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on the date you selected. It does not mean we’ll come at any time, any day. We will always send you a confirmation email confirming the details of the appointment.

Which types of services can be scheduled as a “Go Anytime” appointment?
“Go Anytime” isn’t limited to photographers. Any type of Open Homes Visual Artist can be scheduled this way, including photographers, drone operators, videographers, and draftspersons.
We most commonly see “Go Anytime” used for photography and drafting appointments at straightforward properties, where our team can access the home independently and complete the service without additional guidance.
For more complex, unusual, or high-end listings, some agents prefer to schedule a specific appointment time so they can be onsite and point out details our team might otherwise miss. Think hidden rooms, specialty features, unusual access points—or, yes, even a speakeasy hidden behind a bookshelf. We’ve seen it happen!
What are the benefits of choosing a “Go Anytime” appointment?
Selecting “Go Anytime” can make scheduling easier for both you and our team. If you can provide independent access, you don’t have to rearrange your day to meet the photographer at the property. Meanwhile, your Visual Artist has the flexibility to fit the appointment around their other scheduled shoots.
When should you select “Go Anytime” for your appointment?
- The home can be accessed via lockbox, a hidden key, or a key held at the front desk (for a multi-unit residence like a condo)
- You don’t need to be onsite to point out any special features, requested angles, etc., or you can provide your requests via email or text.
When should you NOT select “Go Anytime” for your appointment?
- You need to meet the photographer to unlock the door.
- Someone needs advance notice before we enter the property (for example, a tenant).
- You have instructions for the photographer that you feel would be best communicated in person.
In those situations, selecting an available appointment time gives everyone a clear schedule and helps prevent access issues or delays.

Frequently asked questions
If I select “Go Anytime,” what time will the Visual Artist arrive?
Your Visual Artist may arrive anytime between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on the date selected.
Will you tell me what time you’re coming?
“Go Anytime” does not include a scheduled arrival time. The appointment is intentionally left flexible so the Visual Artist can fit it around their other appointments that day.
If you need to know when someone will arrive, it might be best to choose a scheduled appointment instead.
Can I ask the photographer to text me before arriving?
If you need advance notice before someone enters the property, a scheduled appointment is usually a better fit. “Go Anytime” works best when our Visual Artist can access the property independently without needing to coordinate their arrival with anyone.
Do I need to be at the property?
No. One of the biggest benefits of “Go Anytime” is that you do not need to be onsite. Just make sure the property is ready and that your order includes clear access instructions, and our Visual Artist will handle the rest.
How should I provide access?
You can provide instructions such as a lockbox code, hidden key location, or another method that allows our Visual Artist to enter and secure the property without someone meeting them there. Please note that our team members cannot access Supra Lockboxes.
Be sure to include any access instructions with your order (or provide them to one of our Customer Success team members after you submit your order) so your assigned Visual Artist knows what to do when they arrive.
What if the property is occupied?
If a seller, tenant, or other occupant needs to know when our team will arrive—or needs to provide access—we recommend choosing a scheduled appointment instead of “Go Anytime.”
Is “Go Anytime” faster than booking a specific time?
In some cases, yes. During the busy season, our scheduled time slots may fill up quickly. Choosing “Go Anytime” gives our Visual Artists more flexibility to fit your appointment into their route, which may make it easier to accommodate your preferred date.
It does not, however, guarantee that your appointment will happen earlier in the day, or that your photos will be edited and returned to you more quickly than they normally would (by 9:00AM the next business day).
What if I select “Go Anytime” and later realize I need to be onsite?
Contact the Open Homes team as soon as possible. Depending on availability, your appointment may need to be changed to a scheduled time so everyone knows when to meet at the property—although our schedulers will do their best to accommodate the change and make it work.
