Uploading photos to the MLS
As a third party, Open Homes Photography can’t upload photos or other materials to the MLS for our agents. We can, however, offer some general tips which may help guide you through the process.
If you continue to have trouble uploading after trying these tips, we recommend reaching out to your MLS provider directly for assistance.
1. Have your photos ready to go and downloaded onto your computer.
You can easily down some or all of your photos from your Media Manager, which is located within your Agent Dashboard on www.OpenHomesPhotography.com. Remember to download the web-sized photos for uploading to the MLS (print-sized will be too large).
2. Log into your MLS.
3. Choose to edit an existing listing or add a new listing.
4, You should see an area where you can browse for photos or directly upload photos. Select the photos you’d like to upload.
5. You may have the option to edit photos at this time.
This could include cropping or changing the brightness, contrast, and saturation. Remember that if you need basic edits done (such as removing cords or fixing burned-out bulbs, for example) we offer 5 complimentary edits with each order! Just email us with your requested edits and we can help you out. If you need more advanced editing, we charge $25 per photo or an hourly rate based on the complexity.
Uploading other materials to the MLS
Your MLS may have a section where you can upload supplementary materials in addition to photos. For example, there may be a section for you to upload a 3D Matterport Tour, a property website, or a Video Tour. If you’ve ordered any of these with Open Homes, these links are available
to you in your Media Manager (the same area where you downloaded your photos). Make sure to select the “Unbranded” or “MLS” version of these links from your Media Manager. You can then copy and paste that link into the MLS.
Don’t forget to add your Unbranded website to the MLS! Check out our blog post on the topic to learn about some major mistakes that agents make when launching their sites (and how to avoid them!).
Now that your photos are uploaded and your listing is live, it’s time to start marketing your property! Check out our other blog post on tips for posting on social media.
